Dr. Jane Chung is an Associate Professor at Emory University Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing. Dr. Chung received a bachelor’s degree in nursing science and a Master's degree in nursing administration and leadership from Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea. She obtained a Master of Science in Health Informatics and a PhD in Nursing from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA. Before joining Emory University, she served as an Associate Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Nursing.
During her career trajectory, she has received several intramural and extramural grants through various mechanisms, including the National Institutes of Health/National Institute on Aging (NIA). As the founder and director of the FIT lab, Dr. Chung’s research program aims to develop, apply, and evaluate technology applications to promote healthy aging among older adults including those from lower socioeconomic groups and with limited social networks. She also works on advancing the technology implementation science by exploring factors influencing the acceptability and sustained use of digital health technology among older adults and caregivers in a sociocultural context.
In recognition of the impact of her work, she has been selected as a fellow of the Betty Irene Moore Fellowship Program for Nurse Leaders and Innovators and the Gerontological Society of America (GSA). She received numerous awards, including the Mid-Career Researcher Award from the Southern Nursing Research Society (SNRS), Healthy Longevity Grand Challenge Catalyst Award by the National Academy of Medicine, and Geriatric Nursing Research Award from the Western Institute of Nursing. She was a fellow of the Latino Aging Research Resource Center, one of the Resource Centers for Minority Aging Research (RCMAR) funded by the NIA.
A fun fact: One of her bucket list goals is to visit all the U.S. national parks— she is always looking for her next outdoor adventure!
Diagét Miller, is a clinical researcher managing projects at the FIT Lab. With a B.Sc. in Neuroscience from Georgia State University and over 8 years of combined expertise in research and technology, her passion lies in the intersection of research, wellness, and innovative technology.
She began her career as an undergraduate research assistant, monitoring neural patterns related to visual attention, memory, and learning in young adults. Before joining Emory, she served as a clinical research monitor at another leading institution and as a researcher for a digital therapeutics' startup focused on using technology to address the mental health crisis in adolescents. Diaget also had the privilege of working at Apple, where she gained valuable experience in technology troubleshooting.
Diagét's journey also includes experience as a research site monitor for a global contract research organization (CRO) and as a research coordinator at Emory’s School of Medicine, where she managed a study that evaluated the efficacy of antipsychotic treatments in patients with schizophrenia.
She looks forward to connecting with our participants and introducing them to preventive care methods through innovative technologies.
A fun fact: She lives to travel; her most recent trip was to Morocco where she explored Marrakech and Casablanca.

These experiences deepened my desire to support them not only through clinical practice but also through tech-related research. I felt a strong commitment to advocating for their unique needs and challenges, which ultimately inspired me to pursue a PhD.

I am a first-year MPH Epidemiology student at the Rollins School of Public Health. I grew up just outside Washington D.C. and attended the University of Maryland, graduating last year with my bachelor's degree in Community Health. During my gap year, I spent most of my time working on a qualitative study about polysubstance use with a research team at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

I am a first-year MPH student studying Health Policy and Management. I was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, and earned my B.S. in Health Services from Augusta University in May 2024. I’ve conducted qualitative research on food deserts in Downtown Augusta, interviewing local organizations to explore how they addressed this public health issue.

I am a second-year Master of Public Health (MPH) student studying Epidemiology and currently a candidate for a Genetic and Molecular Certificate. I am passionate about rare diseases, cancer, the biological clock, and healthy aging. I joined this research community to deepen my knowledge and contribute to advancements in these areas. One of my main goals is to apply my skills in epidemiology to make a meaningful impact on public health and to support gerontology research.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biology, with a pre-med focus, and a minor in Psychology from Georgia State University. During my studies, I developed a strong foundation in the biological sciences and became deeply interested in public health, which led me to pursue further education. In addition to my academic achievements, I also volunteered at hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic, assisting older adults and providing support to vulnerable populations during a critical time. This experience further fueled my dedication to improving public health and supporting aging populations.

I am a Master's student in Computer Science at Emory University's Laney Graduate School, with a strong foundation in AI, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing. My academic journey began with a Bachelor's in Information Science and Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, where I graduated with distinction.
My research interests lie at the intersection of machine learning and natural language processing. I've published work on improving cross-lingual understanding across multiple languages, and I've developed projects including an advanced scientific paper summarization system using the PEGASUS model. I'm particularly passionate about improving the fundamental building blocks of deep learning.
I'm looking forward to applying my expertise in AI/ML to advance our research initiatives at Fit Research, collaborating with the team to develop innovative solutions, and contributing to groundbreaking developments in our field.

I am a first-generation student at Emory University, majoring in Computer Science and Global Development Studies. During my time at Emory, I developed a strong interest in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and User Experience (UX) Design. Through various research projects and literature reviews, I have grown to appreciate HCI tracks like Social Justice HCI and user-centered projects such as Mobile Health (mHealth) interventions.
As a graduating senior, I am committed to building a career focused on leveraging technology-based solutions to address societal disparities. Specifically, I am passionate about using technological innovations and groundbreaking research to promote healthcare equity in developing countries and among communities of the African diaspora. Looking ahead, I plan to pursue a PhD to further these efforts.
